Greetings…!!!
The Department of Commerce (Karaikal Campus) has been actively involved in Empowering “Young Commerce Minds” through Teaching & Mentoring, Research & Publications, Extension Activities and Social Outreach Initiatives.
Our dedicated team of faculty members are inculcating and mentoring the students with required knowledge, skills and attitude to enhance their Employability Quotient and create interest in Entrepreneurial Start-ups. Our well-designed curriculum provides Conceptual, Practical, Technological & Analytical Skill sets to the students to design their career in the wide spectrum of business and public services.
Research ecosystem in the department is robust with faculty members actively involved in funded projects and research scholars conducting their research focused on selected Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). And they are also collaboratively involved in publishing their research outcomes in the indexed journals to reach the global academia and researchers.
The department is unique in imparting knowledge beyond regular classes though daily Business News & Stock Market Live (One Hour a Day @ Lunch), weekly Students Interaction Programme (SIP), monthly Research Scholars Interaction Programme (RSIP), yearly Budget Live & Analysis, Institute Industry Interface Programme and Business Internship (15 Days). As part of their curriculum, students are encouraged to make Publications in Indexed Journals, Presentations in Conferences & Seminars and Participation in Workshops of Other HEIs (15 Days). Students are also encouraged to be part of NSS, ELC, Sports, Cultural Activities and Community Participation.
‘Our Alumni, Our Pride’ – We are proud of our alumni who are shining in their career across the globe. Thanks to our Alumni for supporting the students in their placements and also spending their valuable time every year with us in the annual alumni meet in the name of “Memories”.
The Department is conducting Career Guidance and Counselling to School & College Students with their parents under the “Social Outreach Initiatives” with an aim to Reach the Unreached needy in our Society.
Its my great pleasure, I congratulate all the students, research scholars, faculty members, staff and alumni for their collective contribution for the well-being of the department since its inception. We are delighted to welcome all the aspiring students and research scholars to our Team Commerce.
