Prof. D. Lazar is working in Department of Commerce, School of Management, Pondicherry University for the last one decade after serving Loyola College, Chennai for almost two decades. He possesses M.Com, M. Phil, PGDBA, ACMA and Ph. D degrees to his credit; all his academic courses are in the areas of Commerce, Management, Accounting and Financial Economics. He is an alumnus of IIM-B with the certificate course in Business Analytics and Intelligence in the year 2016. In addition to his teaching as Professor of Finance, he is Currently Heading the Department of Commerce; his teachings had students’ rating of 4 out of 5. He is also a in-charge Controller of Examinations charge taking care examinations of entire University which has 92 affiliated colleges with multi discipline like Medical, Engineering, Law, Education, Nursing and Arts and Science course. He has visited USA, Germany, Mexico and Italy for delivering invited lectures and presenting research papers. He worked in Bhutan on TCS of Colombo Plan.
