Akanksha 23 the flagship industry interface meet of the Department of Tourism Studies honoured the alumni members of the Department who achieved the Guinness World Record for the longest journey by scheduled public transport in a single country. Vice Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh President of the Inaugural Session and Shri. K. Lakshminarayanan, Chief Guest honoured Mr. Dheleepan G. V. DTS alumnus of batch 2012-14 also pursuing research in the Department and Director SEI&RR honoured Mr. Adamsonraj, alumnus of 2015-17 batch working as Sales Manager in GT Holidays, for achieving the landmark crossing 35,614.99 km across India from 07 February 2021 to August 2021
