Dr. A. Joseph Kennedy earned his B. Sc. and M. Sc. degrees in Mathematics from T. D. M. N. S. College, T. Kallikulam, and completed his M. Phil. degree at Adithanar College of Arts and Science affiliated under Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli. He obtained his Ph. D. in Mathematics (Thesis Title: Vertex colored Partition Algebra) from Ramanujan Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, Madras University, Chennai supported by the University Grants Commission under the “Major Research Project Fellowship.” Additionally, he pursued postdoctoral research under the Department of Atomic Energy – Institute of Mathematical Science, Chennai.

Dr. A Joseph Kennedy joined as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Pondicherry University in 2006, and he is at present Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics. His research focuses is on the Combinatorial Representation Theory of Algebras. He has published 21 research articles in international journals. He has successfully completed one research project funded by the DST- SERB, titled  “RSK Correspondence and Rook Version of a class of Diagram Algebras” from 27.04.2011-26.10.2014, total amount Rs. 12, 24, 000, with one JRF.”

He got a best paper award for his Springer Journal publication (Authors   :  A. Joseph Kennedy and G. Muniasamy, Title  :  Rook version of a colored Partition Algebras,  Journal    :   Bulletin of Mathematical Sciences(1), Vol 3(2013), 1-17,  Publisher   :   Springer, http://www.springerlink.com) and $500 cash prize from King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. A Joseph Kennedy has received multiple travel grants from DST, UGC, and the International Mathematical Union to attend the International Congress of Mathematics conference in Madrid, Spain.

Under his supervision, four Ph. D. and 10 M. Phil. scholars have successfully completed their degrees. He has also delivered over 100 invited lectures at national and international conferences, as well as in orientation and refresher programs. As a reviewer for several international journals in pure and applied mathematics, he has contributed to the academic community. Further, he has served as Boys Hostel warden for more than 10 years, and he is serving as the Coordinator for Equal Opportunity Cell at Pondicherry University.
