Feel very Happy to introduce myself as Bushan D. Sudhakar, Professor in the Department of International Business, School of Management, Pondicherry University, Pondicherry, India.
Highly accomplished, strategically focused and a Promising Professor, who is very responsible and dedicated to my professional work. Teaching, Administration & International Relations are the exceptional skills I have acquired over 28 years across cultures & countries. A guarded extrovert. An old school Innovative & sustainable thinker & practitioner, a sensitive, tough, straight forward presenter. Actively involved in Teaching, Research and Business consulting that include engagements with several national and global organizations in various sectors such as corporate and management education, consumer packaged goods, technology, consumer durable, retailing, branding and the Information Technology industry in India.
Working with responsibility & full commitment in all my Professional Workstations is the key to my success. As an Administrator & former Head of the Department introduced & teaching new age courses such as Marketing of High-Tech Products & Innovation, Advertising & Branding, Digital Marketing, Business Ethics & Sustainability subjects at the Masters & Doctoral progs. Motivating & Leading from the front to innovate & do startups in the present responsibilities as a Nodal officer – Entrepreneurship cell.
Teaching & Living in Europe is an added advantage to me, as a visiting Professor at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) Germany, on an Invitation during 2019 and 2024, where I was awarded the best teacher for teaching a course on “Asian Brand Management”. This motivation & experience is leading me to take over new challenges and responsibilities at your Institution.
As an Academician, I have achieved remarkable milestones throughout my career. Having 3 Best Teacher awards, 10 Best Research Paper awards and published research papers in Peer-Reviewed Journals are hallmarks of a committed teacher. Being amiable with all my colleagues & a good team leader and can get along with my superiors & subordinates in an International & multi-cultural workplace is my work ethic.
My primary research interest is in analytical modeling of marketing decision-making contexts with stylized Consumer Behavior models. The teaching, research & consulting areas handled include Global business and marketing strategy, new product. I am also interested in an experimental inquiry into Information Technology and Consumer Behavior because of marketing stimuli. Published 85 research articles which appeared in international and national academic/professional journals of repute. Presented 102 research papers in several national and international conferences and few cases authored by him have appeared in refereed journals and books. Produced 10 Ph.Ds and 3 are pursuing presently. Also published TWO books and he is also the recipient of the Best Teacher Award, UGC Raman Fellowship, Bharat Gaurav Award, and Bharat Vidhya Ratan Award during his career, also an Editorial Member of the International Journal of Economics and Management Science.
I intend to continue as a promising & competitive person, with a healthy lifestyle & independently capable of efficiently discharging any duty assigned to me and certainly become a very valuable asset in the University.
