Dr. Siddhardha Busi completed his M.Sc. in Microbiology at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad. He received PhD fellowship (JRF & SRF) from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, India. With over 15 years of research experience, his expertise includes Microbiology, Microbial Pathogenesis, antimicrobial drug discovery, and Nanobiotechnology. For the past 15 years, he has focused on antimicrobial compounds and the discovery of antimicrobial drugs. Dr. Busi has supervised six Ph.D. candidates and 65 Master’s students in Microbiology. He has successfully completed two research projects on the anti-quorum sensing and antibiofilm activities of natural products, funded by the Department of Science and Technology’s Science and Engineering Research Board (DST-SERB), India. His current research areas include Microbial Pathogenesis, Host-Pathogen interactions, antibiotic resistance, and the applications of nanotechnology in drug discovery, drug delivery, sustained release, and photodynamic therapy. Dr. Busi has authored more than 104 publications, including research papers, review articles, and 63 book chapters, and he has edited or authored six books. Additionally, he serves on the editorial boards of several reputable journals. Recognized for his contributions, he has received multiple awards and honors and is a life member of various scientific societies.
