Research Area
Dr. M. Shanmugam is working as an Assistant Professor. He completed his B.Tech(Information Technology), M.Tech (Network & Internet Engineering) and PhD (Computer Science & Engineering) from Pondicherry University. He has 14+ years of teaching and research experience. He started his carrier as a Guest Faculty in the Department of Computer Science, School of Engineering at Pondicherry University and then worked as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India and also served as the Board of Academics. He is having good research experience and his area of specialization includes Computer Networking, the Internet of Things, Cloud Computing and Evolutionary & Bio-Inspired Optimization Techniques. He has published 15+ International Publications and 5+ International Conferences and Book Chapters. With the expertise in IoT, Cloud Computing, and Evolutionary Optimization has served in academic and research roles, including NSS Programme Officer and Nodal Officer (Data Protection Cell). He has published 14+ journal papers and is PI of a TIDF-TIH-IIT Guwahati-funded project on IoT-Kubernetes integration for autonomous underwater systems.
