Dr. Nagaraju Kanna
About
Research Area
My research interest is in the field of seismology and aimed at understanding the geodynamics of the Earth by mapping the Earth’s deep seismic structure. Mainly my work focus on the evolution and formation of Himalaya-Tibet mountain belt and provided high resolution 2D and 3D seismic images by using various seismological tools like seismic wave travel time analysis, Receiver Function modelling and seismic body wave and attenuation tomography. I also worked in different continental regions like Indian and Antarctica to understand their evolution. I have been working to understand seismic hazard assessment by studying the seism genesis of active continent-continent collision zone of Himalaya-Tibet.
