Research Area
Dr. R. Jeyshankar is presently working as Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science, Pondicherry University. Previously he served as Librarian at S.R.M. Arts and Science College, Chennai and also served as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science, Alagappa University. He was selected as an UGC Research Awardee (2012-2014) and UGC-DAAD Fellowship (2022) by UGC and received Alagappa Excellence Award for Research in the year 2017. He has guided 20 Ph.Ds, 30 M.Phils and he is guiding 4 Ph.D. research scholars at present. He has published good number of papers in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals. He has successfully completed a minor project with ‘’Alagappa University Research Fund (AURF), and two major projects from “Indian Council Social Science Research (ICSSR) and University Grants Commission (UGC)”.
