Dr. R. Krishna

About
Research Area

I am Dr. R. Krishna working as Professor in the department of bioinformatics, Pondicherry university Pondicherry. I have completed my MSc , M.Phil and Ph.D in (Bio-Physics) from the department of Crystallography and Biophysics, University of Madras, Guindy Campus, Chennai. I got trained in the Macromolecular Crystallography at Prof. M. Vijayan’s Lab, Molecular Biophysics Unit, Indian Institute of science (IISc) Bangalore . As a structural biologist our group is primarily working on protein structures (Protein- Protein interactions Protein- ligand interactions and Protein- DNA interactions) through computational approach. We are trying determine the proteins structures and their complexes which are involved in cancer (MurA ) and Tuberculosis ( KasA and KasB) through x-ray crystallography and in-silico method.
