Research Area
Dr. Rakesh Kumar Parmar is presently working as Associate Professor in Department of Mathematics, Ramanujan School of Mathematical Sciences in Pondicherry University (A Central University). He has 20 years of teaching and research experience. His main research area is Special functions, Complex analysis, Integral Transforms and Fractional calculus. He has guided two Ph.D. students in past and presently five students are doing Ph.D. under his supervision. He has completed two research projects funded from SERB DST and TEQIP NPIU, MHRD. He has been invited as a speaker from (i) Dongguk University, South Korea (2014), (ii) Kyushu Sangyo University, Japan (2015), (iii) University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong (2017), (iv) Siberian Federal University, Russia (2019) and (v) Tohoku University, Japan (2024) and presented on the topic of his research work. He has been awarded travel grants from TEQIP NPIU MHRD (2014), Siberian Federal University Russia (2019), SERB ANRF (2024) to visit South Korea, Russia, and Japan respectively. He has given more than 40 invited/contributed talks/presented his research works in various institutions as IIT’s, NIT’s, Central Universities, and other institutions in India. He has organized four international conferences in field of Mathematical Analysis as a Convener. He has published 85 research articles in international and national journals in SCI/Scopus/ESCI/UGC listed and peer reviewed journals. He is reviewer of various national and international journals. He has edited two books volume. He is member of eight national and international mathematical societies including member of Korean-Japanese Colloquium on Finite or Infinite Dimensional Complex Analysis ICFIDCAA. He is involving in various committees for academic and other official works in Pondicherry University. Some of the joint research work has been carried out with Prof. Tibor K.
