M.B.A. Insurance Management

The MBA (Insurance Management) programme is a flagship offering of the Department, designed to equip students with both foundational and advanced knowledge in the field of insurance along with core competencies in business management. The curriculum blends theoretical insights with practical applications, covering various sub-disciplines such as life and non-life insurance, reinsurance, risk management, underwriting, claims management, insurance law and regulations, and actuarial aspects, along with functional areas like finance, marketing, human resources, and operations management.

In keeping with industry expectations and global standards, the Department actively encourages and supports students in pursuing prestigious professional certifications. These include examinations conducted by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), the Insurance Institute of India (III), the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), UK, the Life Office Management Association (LOMA), USA, and the Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association (LIMRA), USA, among others.

Through academic rigour, professional exposure, and industry-aligned training, the programme aims to develop future-ready insurance professionals capable of leading change and creating impact in both national and global insurance markets.
