Madanjeet School of Green Energy Technologies was founded in the year 2010. Since inception, the School has registered a manifold progress in research and teaching. In alignment with the Pondicherry University’s vision of societal transformation through progressive education, impactful research and continuous innovation for sustainable growth, our school is poised to develop technologies, processes and trained human resource in the multidisciplinary field of renewable energy technologies and nanomaterials technologies for energy, environment and healthcare applications.

Madanjeet School of Green Energy Technologies consist of Department of Green Energy Technology and Centre for Nanoscience and Technology. We have 17 regular faculties and one DST-INSPIRE faculty. Almost all faculties of our School have international research experience and maintain the tradition of high impact publications and patents. Our School faculty holds an FRCS, Fellow of UNESCO UNISA Nanoscience,  UNESCO Chair, Fellow MRSC, and Fellow of Academy of Science, Chennai. I am indeed delighted to share the information that in the short span of fifteen years of our existence,  our school has published more than 900 research papers, granted 5  patents,  generated research grants to the tune of ~15 Crores from Indian funding agencies and international foundations, graduated 600+ M.Tech and 70+ Ph.Ds. Significant number of international students from SAARC countries have been trained for M.Tech. Programme.

In academics, Madanjeet School offers two NEP B.Tech. programmes, namely, Energy Science and Technology & Materials Science and Technology. It also has two M.Tech. Program in Green Energy Technology & Nanoscience and Technology. Research leading to Ph.D. is carried out in various renewable energy disciplines and application of nanomaterials in energy, environment and healthcare. Emphasis of School is on applied research leading to product developments and patents as well as producing highly skilled human resources aligning with the Govt of India vision on sustainable energy transition, Net-zero  and Make in India  goals.
