Whether it is Artificial Intelligence, Communication & Networking, Cyber Security, or Sustainable Development, SET aligns its academic and research initiatives with emerging industry trends.

The School of Engineering & Technology is one of the largest and vibrant School in Pondicherry University consisting of three departments in Puducherry campus and one department in the Karaikal campus with aspiring students and erudite faculty constantly in update mode to synchronize with the needs of the Industry standards.

All the constituent Departments are well equipped with modernized labs including the 5G use case lab sponsored by the Ministry of Telecommunications. The School offers a unique blend of Engineering degrees like B.Tech., M.Tech., and Science Degrees like B.Sc., M.Sc., M.C.A. and Ph.D. with both AICTE and UGC accreditation. The Centre for Pollution Control and Environmental Engg., is a unique centre that not only focusses on regular teaching, but concentrates on the sustainable goals of the University offering M.Tech in Env. Engg. and Ph.D.

An important responsibility of the School is that it caters to the academic curriculum and syllabus formulation of all affiliated Engineering colleges and Arts and Science colleges in Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe, Yanam and Andaman, assisting in the implementation of NEP 2020.

SET has a number of MoUs with leading R&D, industry and academic institutes like ERNET INDIA, SETS, Infosys, etc., thereby ensuring effective collaboration with academia and industry.
